Yes, is the simple answer.
You can include any web link (e.g. www.mysite.com) in a text message and almost all modern phones will convert it to a clickable link when received.
As a text message is just that, a message only made up of a string of text characters, you can’t use what is often referred to as a hyperlink. This is you ‘hide’ a link behind some text like, “CLICK HERE”. It must be the full URL.
We would suggest you send some test messages to your phone first so you can see how it works and also whether the link you are sending is mobile friendly when you click through.
Can I track click throughs?
Yes. You can find out who clicked through if you have Google Analytics installed on the site you are sending people to. Not only can you measure click throughs but you can use the full suite of Google Analytics tools and if it’s an e-commerce enabled site then you can even track who made a purchase from your campaign.
